Sign FX Sign Makers would like to offer some free advice on how to save time and money on Signage by following this simple guide.

The most important process of ordering a sign is the timing, over the last 20 years we would estimate 95% of people do not give themselves enough time to get a sign manufactured. A sign can take anything between 5-21 days to manufacture depending on the type required. A simple Flat Aluminium Panel Sign could be expected to be manufactured in 5-7 days but an Illuminated Box Sign or Acrylic Moulded Lettering can take between 14-21 days for manufacture.

Make sure you have a good logo design. Branding is very Important, again this can take around 3-5 days for a good Corporate Image to be produced. Have a High Resolution copy of your logo to hand, so you can email it through to us, saving money on having to reproduce the logo because of poor quality.

Wherever possible take an approximate measurement (just for quotation purposes) of the space where the sign needs to be Installed, taking into consideration any obstructions and uneven surfaces. If you have a camera on your mobile phone take a  picture of the shop front and include any areas in the photo where you may see a problem. Don’t worry about the sizes being deadly accurate as we will survey the site after the quotation is supplied.

All this saves money in the long run, This helps us get a quotation out quickly to you, as you have told us the sizes and supplied a photograph of the shop, Also our Installation quotation will be accurate as we will not encounter any surprises that lead to extra costs for materials and fitting time.

Five easy steps to ordering:

1. Allow 5-21 days  for a sign to be manufactured.

2. Have your Artwork in place and ready to Email.

3. If you can measure the area for the Sign. (Only approximate for quotation purposes)

4. Email a photo of the shop front or position of the Sign.

5. Advise us of any unusual Installation problems.
